Developing and defining a visual language for a project is one of the central purposes of pre-production – and it’s one our team is more than eager to help out with. On top of developing a style and documenting its core pillars via art bibles and key artworks, this type of work can also include world-building, lore creation, and even ideation of specific set pieces or gameplay interactions. It’s part of the process to consider the purpose of the elements of an environment or character design, e.g. what kind of vegetation a given setting might entail and what the creatures and people living there would look like, or why some characters may have a scar or other marks.
